We are helping a Braintree homelessness charity with Quintessential Living donation

We have donated to Hope House Essex, a Braintree charity working to break the cycle of homelessness.

Our donation to the charity forms part of our Quintessentially Community Focused programme, which sees the housebuilder give back to charities in the communities it operates in. Hope House Essex is based near our brand-new development, Mulberry Homes at Braintree.

Hope House Essex’s goal is helping people back on their feet, and the charity currently has two four-bedroom homes that can house eight people in total. With the increased operating costs, any additional comforts must be done through fundraising.

The donation will allow the charity to purchase new furniture for the shared common areas in one of the homes, to make the kitchen and lounge more comfortable and create a space for residents to socialise.

Tony Britten, Chair of Trustees, at Hope House Essex, said: “Hope House Essex is a small local charity providing accommodation and support for the homeless and helping to break the cycle. We operate two houses and have a total of 8 bedrooms. Your kind and generous donation will enable us to buy durable practical furniture which will add to the comfort of one of our homes. Thank you.”

Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We are very happy to be able to support Hope House Essex, and in turn support those in the community Mulberry Homes operates in.

“Supporting the people who live in the communities we build in is very important to us at Mulberry Homes and building connections with those in the community is a key part of our ethos. We look forward to seeing how this donation impacts Hope House Essex and those living in their homes.”

As part of Mulberry Homes’ charity scheme, Quintessentially Community Focused, charities and public organisations local to the housebuilder’s developments are invited to apply to receive a one-off donation of £1 to £1,000, which can be used to help enhance the local community or environment, or provide a charitable service.
