Following the announcement about the winners our butterfly photography competition, we caught up with adult winner Paul Cole.
Paul said: “My first reaction when I read I had won was total surprise, I entered on a whim with no real expectations.
I recently retired with a plan to spend more time on my photography, so this will encourage me. Thank you, Mulberry Homes.”
The competition was hosted in celebration of the Big Butterfly Count, which was held from Friday 15th July to Saturday 7th August.
Organised by the Butterfly Conservation, the event is the world’s largest butterfly survey and involved nature lovers spending 15 minutes counting the butterflies and moths they could see.
The gathered data then helps butterfly specialists learn about the current population and habits of UK species.
