Leicester Hospitals Charity install a plaque in our name

Following our donation to the Leicester Children’s Hospital Appeal earlier this year, we’re delighted that a plaque has been installed to honour our contribution.

The staff room on the Cardiac Paediatric Intensive Care Unit has been named ‘The Mulberry Homes Room’, in recognition of our donation.

Louise Jones, Head of Philanthropy at Leicester Hospitals Charity, said: “It’s been lovely to see paediatric intensive care staff having their lunch and a catch up in The Mulberry Homes Room. They said it has made such a difference to their lives having such a lovely room to chill out in during or after a busy shift.

“Thank you to Mulberry Homes for enabling this to happen and for making the lives of our staff that much better while they look after some of our most critically ill children and young people.”

Kerry Jones, Sales Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We’re delighted that a plaque has been installed in ‘The Mulberry Homes Room’.

“We were very proud to have contributed to the Leicester Children’s Hospital Appeal in support of their essential project, and would like to thank everyone at Leicester Hospitals Charity for their kindness and for celebrating our donation in such a special way.”

The Leicester Children’s Hospital Appeal is run by the Leicester Hospitals Charity, which exists to support patients, their carers and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicestershire and Rutland and beyond.
