Mulberry Homes has donated £200 worth of food items to Bicester Foodbank as part of its Distinctly Local campaign.

22nd May 2020

Mulberry Homes has donated £200 worth of food items to Bicester Foodbank as part of its Distinctly Local campaign.  Foodbanks around the country have been more in need than ever following the lockdown measures introduced to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic. Janet Ray, Project Manager for Bicester Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust, said, “The shopping donation from Mulberry Homes has been essential in building up our reserves of essential items for those most in need.

“Whilst our focus has been to protect the hard working volunteers that keep the foodbank working, the many vulnerable families we support are still very much a priority and we are doing everything we can to support people through this difficult time and work to end hunger in the UK.”

Bicester Foodbank, which operates from Market Place is open for supermarket online delivery donations on weekdays 10am to 12pm.  Anyone in need should contact Janet on 01869 357181. They are currently in urgent need of tinned tomatoes, tinned fish and jams and marmalades.
