As we launch our latest development, Whissendine Grove, we have teamed up with Haus Interiors to quiz them about how they came up with the idea to fit our Eaton style show home at the development.
Felicity Stevens, Director at Haus Interiors, explained how they came to the final design of the show home: “The Eaton is a spacious house, and in particular the two sets of bi-fold doors in the lounge and family room make this home feel light and contemporary.
“We wanted to ensure that the design reflected this and did the home justice, so we used timeless furniture and kept the walls bright and chalky. We didn’t need to add too much character, as the home has so much already!”
Felicity continued: “The design itself is a contemporary twist on a country interior, there is a blend of Scandinavian-inspired pieces of furniture and classic style pieces too. In the kitchen, we have used luxurious swivel armchairs that have been paired with a Scandinavian oak dining table.
“When designing the home, we thought a lot about the prospective buyer and their expectation of luxury. We think it is important to show a combination of both new and old styles of luxury, so buyers can see how their existing furniture would work in a new home.”
We hope that this deep dive from the team of experts at Haus Interiors has given a glimpse of what goes on behind closed doors when designing our show homes. We are encouraging anyone curious to come and visit The Eaton at Whissendine Grove.
