Community initiative success
December 15th, 2024

At Mulberry Homes, we know the importance of supporting the local communities where we build, and our Community Chest scheme allows us to continue to create and foster relationships with local businesses and charities.

This year, we sponsored or donated to 23 different charities, local sports teams and clubs, community groups and schools, including a donation of over 80,000 bricks to Rugby College so that bricklaying apprentices can get some practical experience.

We also donated a number of mental health books to schools across Bedfordshire, Essex, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire to mark Youth Mental Health Day (19th September), and help children get talking about their emotions and break the stigma around mental health.

We also sponsored several different sports teams, including Middleton Cheney Lionesses who received kits for their newly formed under 12 team. We have also committed to sponsoring the team’s awards evening in May, in order to celebrate their successes.

Our donations have been very well received from all of those we have helped, including Matthew Jordan, the manager of Middleton Cheney Lionesses, who said: “Mulberry Homes’ donation has been vital in making sure these girls can play football comfortably and as part of a team.”

Jane Muers, a member of the team at Rugby Dementia Support, who were a recipient of a £1,000 donation, said: “Local charities like ours need these donations to survive and we are extremely grateful to Mulberry Homes and their Community Chest scheme.”

As a family run housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the local community through donations such as kit sponsorships, charitable donations and equipment donations.
