To celebrate World Book Day (Thursday 6th March), luxury homebuilder Mulberry Homes has provided a storytelling session to a school based near its popular The Meadows development in Felsted.
Situated on Clifford Smith Drive, The Meadows at Felsted is comprised of a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes that are suitable for a range of buyers, including growing families and working professionals
World Book Day is an annual awareness day aimed at promoting a love of reading and stories, and to support that endeavour Mulberry Homes enlisted the help of a local storyteller to share the joy of stories with students at Felsted Primary School.
Janina Vigurs delivered an exciting session to the reception students, who thoroughly enjoyed and engaged with her reading. The story was ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’ and allowed the students to interact with the story in ways that helped them to take in the meaning whilst having fun.
Selina Wiseman, EYFS and KS1 Lead at Felsted Primary School, said: “'The children were very lucky to have the storyteller come to school, and they were captivated by her. She was amazing and held their attention for the whole time. The children were all able to join in with the story, doing actions, giving suggestions and telling the story with her.”
Sophie Leathley, Senior Brand and Marketing Manager at Mulberry Homes, said: “World Book Day is an excellent campaign, and we were thrilled to spread the joy of reading and stories in our own way. We are delighted to hear how much the students at Felsted Primary School enjoyed the session and wish them all the best for the remaining school year.
