We can’t wait to spring into April by donating to three Bedfordshire charities and organisations, as part of The Mulberry Community Chest.

Silsoe VC Lower School in Silsoe, Herrings Green Activity Farm and Bird of Prey Centre in Wilstead and Bedfordshire Swift Group are each receiving a £250 donation to help support their local wildlife. Silsoe VC Lower School is local to our Maulden Ridge development in nearby Clophill.

The £250 will be given directly to their humanities department to help support and further the children’s environmental education.

Herrings Green Activity Farm and Bird of Prey Centre is home to one of the largest collections of birds of prey in the UK, including different species of owls, hawks, eagles and falcons.

They educate visitors on the importance of conservation, as well as host displays for families to enjoy. Bedfordshire Swift Group is affiliated to the Bedfordshire Natural History Society.

They aim to provide education on swifts across the county, encourage local people to take an active interest in their local swifts and work to provide more nesting opportunities by putting up nest boxes.

Mulberry Homes, said: “We are thrilled to be donating to three Bedfordshire organisations this April, and are looking forward to celebrating what we’re calling ‘Ecology Month’!

“Each of these groups support local wildlife and nature wherever possible, as well as offer necessary education on conservation and protecting species in need.

At Mulberry Homes, ecology is something very close to our hearts, and we’re delighted to be providing our support.”
