Luxury homebuilder Mulberry Homes is installing a range of sustainable features at its Ravensden development, to help improve local ecology and support existing wildlife.
The development, called Ravensden Park, is comprised of a stunning collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, set within a green country park and surrounded by more than 20 acres of beautiful Bedfordshire countryside.
Across the site, Mulberry Homes is supporting local wildlife by installing hedgehog homes and pathways in garden fencing to provide hedgehogs with access to roam freely.
Bat boxes and bird boxes for swifts, sparrows and house martins are also being provided, and an existing boundary of a badger sett is being retained and protected.
Existing hedgerow and trees are being retained wherever possible, and the homebuilder is planting native woodland mix, bulbs, specimen and native trees, and ornamental and native shrubs and hedges, as well as wildflower, amenity and tussock grass.
Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “Enhancing the areas where we build is something very important to us at Mulberry Homes, so we are delighted to be installing a range of wildlife homes and planting new greenery at Ravensden Park.
“Ravensden Park is a beautiful, idyllic development, and we are taking great pride in creating a thriving new community that benefits both residents and the environment. We are looking forward to continuing to improve Ravensden Park’s biodiversity.”
