We’re helping to protect UK butterflies this November
We are very proud to be donating £1000 to Butterfly Conservation as part of our 10-year anniversary campaign, in which we have been supporting charities and organisations local to our developments throughout the year.
Butterfly Conservation is a charity focused on protecting butterflies and moths all over the UK. Their core aims are to recover threatened butterflies and moths, increase numbers of widespread species and inspire people to get involved by educating them and raising awareness about the important role butterflies and moths play.
Sandra Muldoon, Head of Fundraising at Butterfly Conservation, said: “We are hugely grateful for the donation to Butterfly Conservation. As the UK charity dedicated to saving butterflies, moths and our environment we rely on donations to fund our work, which includes important research that in turn provides advice on how to conserve and restore vital habitats.
“We also run projects to protect more than 100 species of butterfly and moth and are involved in conserving hundreds of sites and reserves. All of this is only possible thanks to generous donations like this.”
Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Butterfly Conservation this November. Aiding and protecting the local wildlife is something very close to our hearts at Mulberry Homes, and with this £1000 donation we’re very proud to be helping to keep our nation’s beautiful butterflies and moths safe.
“Butterfly Conservation has a local branch in each county we operate in, including Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, so we couldn’t be happier to be supporting these creatures which live locally to where we build our new homes and communities.”
Stay tuned to find out how Butterfly Conservation will be using the funds in the coming months.
