We’re delighted to be Supporting the Olive Branch Network for our Christmas Wish Campaign

20th November 2020

We have proudly donated £200 to The Olive Branch Network; a baby bank nearby to our Brunswick Gate development in Lower Stondon.

The donation comes as part of our Christmas Wish campaign, in which we are donating £200 to five baby banks and charities local to our developments over the festive season.

The Olive Branch Network, established in 2016, supports parents and babies in difficult situations within Hertfordshire by providing them with Moses baskets filled with much needed essential items, including gently used and new baby clothing, toys and toiletries.

All financial donations go into the running costs of the charity and purchasing items that need to be brand-new for health and safety reasons, such as baby mattresses and certain toiletries.

Kerry Jones, Sales Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We’re thrilled to have made this donation to The Olive Branch Network. The pandemic has been especially challenging for baby banks and the vulnerable families they support, and the festive season itself brings along its own stresses and hardships. We hope these funds will offer a huge helping hand and provide some relief to those who need it most.

“At Mulberry Homes, we are committed to supporting, and forging lasting partnerships with, the communities local to our developments. We’re incredibly proud to be donating to a range of local baby banks and charities as part of our Christmas Wish campaign, bringing some festive joy during these difficult times.”

Seyi Yusuff, Founder and Director of The Olive Branch Network, said: ““We’ve seen a huge increase in referrals since lockdown began in March, and in that time we’ve supported over 100 babies. We’ve really had to change the way we work as a charity in order to keep our volunteers and those we support safe, and keep the charity running. It’s been a tough journey and we’re very grateful to Mulberry Homes for this fantastic donation.

“With domestic abuse and mental illnesses on the rise during the pandemic, it means so much to the women we help to know that they’re not alone, and it’s really great to know that these women and babies are still being supported.”
