We are thrilled to have donated £200 to The Salvation Army as part of our Christmas Wish campaign

14th December 2020

We are thrilled to have donated £200 to The Salvation Army as part of our Christmas Wish campaign, in which we are donating to five charities local to our developments over the festive season.

The Salvation Army supports those suffering with homelessness, modern slavery, poverty and addiction, and aids local communities with issues such as unemployment and isolation.

The charity’s churches and community centres offer a range of activities and services across the UK, including two in Bedfordshire nearby to our brand-new developments coming soon to Manor Heath in Leighton Buzzard and Maulden Ridge in Maulden.

Many Salvation Army churches and centres run a Christmas Present Appeal, where they accept donated new, unwrapped toys and gifts to pass onto children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present.

Kerry Jones, Sales Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We’re very proud to have made this donation to The Salvation Army. The pandemic has been especially challenging for charities and the vulnerable people they support, and we hope these funds will offer a huge helping hand during this time where their work is more needed than ever.

“During our Christmas Wish campaign we are committed to supporting, and forging lasting partnerships with, the communities local to our developments. We’re incredibly proud to be donating to a range of local charities, bringing some festive joy during these difficult times.”

John Appleton, Salvation Army Major Donor Development Manager, said: “Thank you to Mulberry Homes for their donation. This will go towards our work supporting vulnerable people, from those forced to sleep rough to families struggling to make ends meet.”
