We are proud to announce the winners of our exciting butterfly photography competition!

9th August 2022

We are proud to announce the winners of our exciting butterfly photography competition, which was run in celebration of the Big Butterfly Count.

In total, 74 amateur photographers and wildlife enthusiasts submitted their very best butterfly photographs. Paul Cole was crowned as the adult winner and Lewis Jolley, aged 13, is the junior winner. As a prize, both winners have received a £250 voucher to be spent on camera equipment.

The #competition was hosted in celebration of the #BigButterflyCount, which is being held from Friday 15th July to Saturday 7th August. Organised by the Butterfly Conservation, the event is the world’s largest butterfly survey and involves nature lovers spending 15 minutes counting the butterflies and moths they can see. The gathered data then helps #butterfly specialists learn about the current population and habits of UK species.

Mulberry Homes, said: “We are delighted to announce the winners of our widely popular butterfly photography competition. “Selecting our #favourite #photographs out of over 70 entries was a real challenge, and we’d like to thank everyone who took part for submitting such wonderful entries.

A huge #congratulations go to our well-deserved winners Paul and Lewis – their incredible photos perfectly captured the excitement of the Big Butterfly Count.

As a responsible #housebuilder, creating safe #environments for local 3nature and #wildlife is a very important part of our ethos. We are thrilled to have raised awareness of the Big Butterfly Count, and have loved seeing so many people get involved.”
