This month we will be donating to “For Men to Talk” as part of our Distinctly Local 2021 campaign.
Established in 2019, For Men To Talk is a peer support group in Bedfordshire where men suffering with anxiety, depression and grief can get together and talk about mental health during weekly meetings. They moved from meeting at a café in Biggleswade to hosting online sessions via Zoom following the Coronavirus restrictions.
The group was founded by Potton resident Luke Newman, who suffered from depression after losing both his mother and sister to cancer, and is keen to end the stigma of men having to keep quiet regarding their mental health.
