John O’Gaunt Golf Club, Charity Golf Day in aid of The Prostate Project

John O’Gaunt Golf Club in Sutton was due to hold a Charity Golf Day in aid of The Prostate Project on 6thApril 2020, which has unfortunately had to be indefinitely postponed. Mulberry Homes was one of the confirmed sponsors – we had pledged to sponsor a hole on the course for £200.
In spite of the postponement, we are keen to keep our pledge and are pleased to confirm that we will make a £200 donation to The Prostate Project. The charity has raised over £6 million for prostate cancer research since it was founded in 1998, and is largely run by volunteers.
A spokesperson for The Prostate Project said, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and everyone at Mulberry Homes for honouring your commitment to supporting the John O’Gaunt charity golf day in aid of The Prostate Project.
“These are unprecedented times, and we and every other charity find ourselves facing a crisis that will have far-reaching implications on our ability to fundraise, certainly for the foreseeable future.
“Already there has been a 40% drop in charitable donations since the coronavirus pandemic hit. So we are very grateful for your generous donation, and rest assured, as a volunteer-run charity, with very low overheads, nearly every penny will go directly to the point of need.”
