Find Out all about our donation to For Men to Talk as part of our Vision 2021

We’re delighted to be donating £1000 to Bedfordshire peer support group For Men to Talk as part of our 10-year anniversary celebration, for which we’ve committed to supporting charities and organisations local to our developments throughout 2021.

Established in 2019, For Men to Talk provides its members with an opportunity to talk about men’s mental health during a weekly meeting. They moved from meeting at a café in Biggleswade to online get togethers via Zoom following Coronavirus restrictions.

Founder Luke, who suffered from depression after losing both his mother and sister to cancer, was keen for other men to have a place to talk about their feelings openly.

He said: “As the founder and on behalf of the attendees of ‘For Men to Talk’, I cannot thank Mulberry Homes enough for this second donation to our group. Their continual support allows us to reach more men so they can improve their mental health and well-being. Our mission is to change the perception that men should remain silent in regards to their feelings and with the help of Mulberry Homes, we can change that.”

Kerry Jones, Sales Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “I’m thrilled that we’re able to support For Men to Talk this January and work towards raising awareness for men’s mental health. Following our support for the organisation last year as part of our Distinctly Local campaign, we had numerous employees join the weekly meetings and it felt fitting to offer our support to For Men to Talk once again. The construction industry typically has high numbers of male workers and having a safe place to talk on a regular basis, particularly during this difficult time, is extremely important for their wellbeing.”
