Mulberry Homes Celebrate International Women’s Day

This International Women’s Day hear from our very own woman in construction, who each firmly believe in this year’s campaign motto #EachforEqual

Here’s what our ladies had to say…

Stacey Clarke “It shouldn’t matter what gender you are; in my view if you want to do something you should just get out and do it personally or professionally. In my role we are mostly office based but I really enjoy getting out on site to meet with customers and colleagues in their homes so the balance of men and women in this sector is an asset.”

Amelia Rebhan “Having a mixed workforce is a real advantage for any company.  Different kinds of people bring different skills and ways of working to the table.  I would encourage young women to apply for work experience in sectors that they may not have considered before.  That’s what I did and I’ve now found my career in construction.”

Kerry Jones “Having held Director positions for many years in the construction industry, I still experience the same buzz and hype that I have always done. I think more and more women are taking roles throughout the departments required to assist in the building of new homes, such as Land, Technical, Buying, Surveying and Customer Services.  It has become the new norm.”
