The Perfect Setting – A charming location with excellent transport links
Moulton retains a strong village identity, with its beautiful pale ‘Pendle’ sand stone houses and a tributary of the River Nene passing near its centre. The development is approximately a mile from the A43 which links with the A14 to the north and A45 and Northampton itself to the south.
There are a wealth of leisure opportunities nearby including Pitsford Water, which offers walking, cycling, fishing, watersports including sailing and birdwatching. Pitsford and Brampton station, which is home to the Northampton and Lamport heritage railway line is just four miles away. Here visitors can not only ride one of the classic trains but also walk along the line and watch the steam and diesel engines in action.
Moulton has a wide range of shops and amenities on the doorstep, from the hockey club and sports complex, to grocery stores, a fish and chip shop, pubs and churches. There is also the Moulton Theatre, home to a thriving amateur community drama group and the very popular J Gallery coffee shop, where patrons can enjoy barista style coffee, light bites and view the selection of contemporary art on sale. Less than four miles away at Kingsthorpe Park are a range of retailers including a Waitrose supermarket and helpful local bus services take residents into Northampton and Kettering throughout the day.
For families, there is a primary school, three nursery schools and the very popular Moulton College. From post-16 to postgraduate and professional development, Moulton College provides a wide range of full and part-time courses. It is an established Centre of Excellence for Education and Training for the Natural, Built and Recreational Environment and offers unrivalled facilities. For secondary education there is the Moulton School and Science College.
