Situated on the edge of rural countryside, but only a short walk from Potton town centre, Market Reach really is a great place to call home.
Situated within the Greensand Reach Nature Improvement Area the development enjoys a glorious setting adjacent to beautiful countryside and boasts access to its very own protected wildlife area.
This popular Market Town is surrounded by sought after towns and villages such as Biggleswade and Sandy, the latter of which is home to the UK Headquarters of British Institution, the RSPB and The Lodge Nature Reserve and Gardens. The Lodge offers a rich combination of wildlife and heritage experiences. The woodland, heath and grassland cover an area of 220 hectares and form the largest stretch of heathland in Bedfordshire.
Granted the coveted market charter in 1094, Potton still has a market run quarterly by a dedicated group of volunteers. The ‘Four Seasons Market’ takes place in March, June, September and December and has become a popular place to socialise and shop and offers and array of stalls including artisan bread, local honey producer, handmade jewellery, chocolate and sweet maker, farm produced pies and a hog roast.
Those who enjoy sports should look no further than Potton United Football Club and Potton Cricket Club, which are located opposite the development providing plenty of entertainment for all the family. Additionally John O’Gaunt Golf Club is just over half a mile away.
