We are very proud to be donating £1,000 to For Men To Talk, as part of our monthly community fund, The Mulberry Community Chest.

Established in 2019, For Men To Talk operates near our upcoming The Grange at Roxton development in Bedfordshire, and gives men suffering with anxiety, depression and grief the chance to openly talk about mental health, provide support for other members, and improve their wellbeing.

The charity was founded by Luke Newman, who suffered with grief and anxiety since losing his mother and sister to cancer, after he recognised that there weren’t any groups for men to simply talk.

The group now run 100 meetings per year, both virtually and in-person in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, and St Neots and Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.

Alongside the meetings, the charity also run ‘For Men to Talk and Walk’ and ‘For Men to Talk and Play’ events, which promote the mental and physical health benefits of exercising and talking. Mulberry Homes, said:

“We are very proud to be supporting For Men To Talk this August, and to be raising awareness for men’s mental health.

“The construction industry typically has a high number of male workers, so it felt fitting to offer our support to For Men To Talk.

This will be the third time we’ve donated to their vital work, and we’re delighted to be making another £1,000 contribution.”
