In celebration of the #BigButterflyCount, which is running from Friday 15th July to Saturday 7th August, we are thrilled to be launching a #butterfly #photography #competition*, where entrants can be in with a chance of #winning a £250 voucher.
#Amateur #photographers and #nature #enthusiasts can participate by submitting their very best butterfly photographs to firstname.lastname@example.org. The entry deadline is Monday 25th July at midnight.
Representatives at Mulberry Homes will then judge the entries and select one #adultwinner and one #juniorwinner (aged under 18-years-old), who will each receive a £250 #voucher to be spent on #cameraequipment, as well as an #overallwinner.
The competition is in honour of the Big Butterfly Count, which is the world’s largest butterfly #survey. Organised by the Butterfly #Conservation, the event encourages #wildlife #lovers to spend 15 minutes counting the butterflies and moths they can see. The gathered data then helps butterfly specialists learn about the current population and habits of UK species.
Mulberry Homes, said: “We’re very excited to be launching our butterfly photography competition, and to be getting involved with the Big Butterfly Count.
“At Mulberry Homes, it is a huge part of our ethos to protect the local wildlife and create safe environments for nature to grow and thrive. Raising #awareness of how we can keep vulnerable species, such as butterflies and moths, protected is something very close to our hearts, and we’re delighted to be sharing our passion with local communities.
“Last year, we ran a nature photography calendar competition which was hugely successful. We hope that this competition is just as popular, and cannot wait to see what wonderful butterfly photos we receive.”
