Who’s attending the annual Greensand Country Festival?
Taking place in May, for the second year running, we are delighted to be the Key Festival Sponsor.
For five weeks across May, Bedfordshire locals can enjoy and celebrate the breath-taking Greensand Country landscape, which is defined by the Greensand Ridge.
Stretching for 42 miles, the Ridge runs from Leighton Buzzard to Gamlingay, and is home to all of the county’s remaining heathland, more than half of its woodland and more historical parklands than anywhere else in Britain. The festival is designed to encourage those who live within the area to get outside and explore the outstanding countryside in a sustainable way.
As part of the festival, local businesses, councils, social groups, charities, landowners and more come together and organise a diverse range of inclusive and fun activities.
From walks, cycle routes and horse rides to outdoor yoga, wellbeing talks and live music, there’s something for all ages and interests. A range of hotels, eateries and independent shops are also dotted along the landscape, as well as attractions and tourist hotspots, including the Leighton Buzzard Railway, Woburn Abbey and Woburn Safari Park.
