We’re helping support Leicestershire Cancer Patients this September

We are very proud to be donating £1000 to the Leicestershire and Rutland branch of Macmillan Cancer Support as part of our 10-year anniversary celebrations, in which we’re supporting charities and organisations local to our developments throughout 2021.

For over 100 years, Macmillan have been supporting people with cancer by helping them to get the support they need to take care of their health, protect their families, and deal with money and work worries. Macmillan provide physical, financial and emotional support to patients and their loved ones right from diagnosis, all the way through treatment and beyond.

Francesca Pearson, Macmillan Fundraising Manager for Leicestershire and Rutland, said: “We are so thankful for the generous donation made by Mulberry Homes. Every single penny makes a huge difference and helps us continue to fund vital cancer support services across the county so we can do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.”

Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “I’m thrilled that we’re able to donate such a significant amount to Macmillan in Leicestershire and Rutland. The pandemic will have hugely affected the support Macmillan is able to offer and most likely resulted in a sizeable drop in their income. We’re very proud to be aiding their vital work, and hope that this contribution will help them continue to provide their support at a time where it is more valued than ever.

“As our donation will come in September, we’re looking forward to celebrating Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning with them on the 24th.”

Stay tuned to find out how the Leicestershire and Rutland branch of Macmillan will be using the funds in the coming months.
