1. Use moving home as a chance to re-evaluate your freezer
When you clear out your old freezer, look at what you don’t use and throw away food that’s been stored for months or more.
2. Minimise food waste
Freeze fruit, vegetables, herbs and other small ingredients, instead of throwing them away after only using a tiny amount.
3. Stock up on frozen fruit and vegetables
Frozen produce is flash frozen to keep all nutritional value, is much easier to prepare and helps you to reach your five-a-day goal.
4. Freeze pre-prepared meals
Save time and money by cooking meals in bigger batches and freezing portions, or by freezing leftovers, allowing you to stay healthy even if you have little time to cook.
5. Keep your freezer organised
Label all produce in zip-lock bags with the date and freeze liquids flat in bags to save space, reduce thawing time and make meals easier to prepare.
