We are delighted to have donated £200 to Baby Basics Northampton, nearby to our Meadow View Fields development in Moulton.
The donation comes as part of our Christmas Wish campaign, in which we are donating £200 to five baby banks and charities local to our developments over the festive season.
Baby Basics Northampton was set up in 2013 by four mums and supports parents and families with new babies across Northamptonshire, providing Moses baskets made up of essential items for new mums in financial need.
Kerry Jones, Sales Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We’re delighted to have made this donation to Baby Basics Northampton. The pandemic has been especially challenging for baby banks and the vulnerable families they support, and the run up to Christmas itself often comes with added stresses and hardships for those in need. We hope these funds will offer relief to those in need across the festive period and during these difficult times.”
Sabrina Oakey, Volunteer Lead and Donation Coordinator at Baby Basics Northampton, said: “This donation will enable us to purchase new Moses basket mattresses, which we put in all of our starter packs that we provide to new mums, and help us to ensure safe sleeping. It will also allow us to purchase essential toiletries for mum and baby, like shampoo, shower gel and toothbrushes. These are basic items that can mean a lot to these new mums.
“It has been quite a challenging time over the last six months, and without the financial support that we receive from supporters like Mulberry Homes we couldn’t continue to run. All of our donation drop-off points are closed during lockdown, which means that we have to purchase any items that we don’t have to complete our packs, and thankfully with financial support we are able to continue and fulfil every referral that we receive. Thank you so much Mulberry Homes; we are so grateful for your kind donation.”
