Housebuilder with Climate and Community at its core launches Sustainable Initiatives

Leading Midlands housebuilder Mulberry Homes has officially launched The Mulberry Way, a range of cutting-edge initiatives, developed over the last 18 months, that reflect the developer’s commitment to sustainable, ethical and community-centred practices.

The Mulberry Way brings together a number of forward-thinking features unique to Mulberry Homes, all of which demonstrate to the housebuilder’s customers, prospective purchasers and stakeholders that the environment and the communities in which the company builds are integral to its vision.

These include electric car charging points in the visitor parking areas at each of Mulberry Homes’ developments across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire; gardening clubs to encourage residents come together, learn new skills and enjoy the outdoors; automated smart parcel delivery boxes for those expecting deliveries whilst away from home; and landscaped green garden boundaries for selected homes, giving residents added privacy whilst offering a pleasant, leafy outlook.

By each adding something positive to residents’ personal space or to the environment, Mulberry Homes is, by extension, contributing to these communities’ sense of wellbeing.

Ian Sadler, Managing Director of Mulberry Homes, said: “The Mulberry Way highlights our core principles of selecting land, building homes and developing communities in places our customers really want to live in – and which, in turn, we hope to enhance for the benefit of everyone.

“These values are driven from the very top of Mulberry Homes by our passionate main board and they don’t end at our communities: we’re keen to continue doing what we can to help protect the environment.”

The Mulberry Way has arisen alongside Mulberry Homes’ 2020 vision, “Distinctly Local – Strengthening and Connecting Communities”. The initiative, is being rolled out across several of Mulberry’s developments in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, is seeing a selection of local organisations and charities chosen to receive practical and financial support in the form of collaborations or donations.
