Homebuilder Kick-Starts the Season of Goodwill with Donation to Bedfordshire Village Hall

Continuing the support for the communities in which it builds, Mulberry Homes has made a donation to the Houghton Conquest Village Hall located close to its Houghton Fields development.

After reaching out to the facility’s committee to see what they were in need of, the local homebuilder made a donation of £250 to provide funding for the daily operation of the village hall’s activities.

Representatives from the Houghton Conquest Village Hall Committee were recently invited to the nearby development to receive the cheque with members of the Mulberry Homes team.

In attendance to present the cheque were Houghton Fields’ Project Manager Greg Driscoll and Sales Advisor Keelan Riley.

Collecting the cheque on behalf of the village hall’s committee were Babs Hill and Christine Dean.

Babs said: “We were very surprised and pleased to receive the donation from Mulberry Homes. It is very unusual to receive unsolicited donations, as village halls seem to be very low on the list of most companies’ priorities.

“Our Hall is used by many members of the village and surrounding areas; accordingly, these unasked for funds will be put to good use and are very much appreciated by members of our community.”

Kerry Jones, Head of Sales at Mulberry Homes, said: “Houghton Conquest is a beautiful village with a wonderful community spirit and we’re delighted to be able to offer our support to the village hall.

“We hope the donation is beneficial for the day-to-day operation of such a vital facility for the village’s residents, as it is host to a variety of enjoyable activities that our new homebuyers will soon be able to enjoy.”

Houghton Fields is located in a quintessential village that homebuyers can cherish, and accommodates a delightful collection of three and four bedroom family properties.
